Financial Services Career Fair and Hackathon 2023

Moreover, the Career Fair served as a platform for:

• job seekers to connect with some of the major stakeholders of the industry and take the next step in their careers,
• the financial services sector professionals, seeking guidance on the wide array of available career paths; and
• the young generations, aspiring to be qualified professionals in the financial services sector, exploring the available openings.

The Financial Services career fair 2023 regrouped some 40 institutions with over 1,000 immediate job openings available for recruitment. Some 3,000 CVs were received during the event, and over 1,000 interviews conducted on the spot.

The Hackathon

The Hackathon, which is a closed-door non-stop 24-hour competition, was held on Friday 23 June 2023. It was opened to all developers, designers and tech enthusiasts with the objective of creating innovative apps that promote financial literacy.  The FSF reiterated its unflinching support for the promotion of financial literacyand its unwavering encouragement in the progress of technology in Mauritius through this initiative, which is in line with the growing importance of Financial Technology (FinTech) and its integration in the financial services sector.
