The Workshop was conducted by the Head of Licensing who also made a presentation on the different type of activities licensed by the Commission. The audience was given an overview of the role of the Commission as a business facilitator adhering to international norms and standards. Furthermore, MCs were reminded of their duties and responsibilities vis-a-vis their clients and the Commission as enshrined in the law. The presentation covered the application for GBC1 and GBC2 licences, as well as, the requirements for financial activity licences such as Funds, Investment Advisers, Investment Dealers, CIS Managers and External Pension Schemes amongst others. A session was dedicated exclusively for a questions and answers to attend to the issues and concerns of MCs, including clarifications on the Online Submissions Platform.
