African Regulators of 12 member countries of the South African Development Community (SADC) met to discuss global challenges facing the financial services sector.
Regulators discussed and agreed on the CISNA Constitution as part of their common agenda, as well as the implementation of the CISNA’s strategic plan 2010-2015.
CISNA, the Committee of Insurance, Securities and Non Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority, regroups supervisory authorities of capital markets, retirement funds, collective investment schemes, insurance companies and providers of financial intermediary services.
CISNA members aim at reinforcing mutual cooperation in their aim to contribute to the sound regulation, effective supervision and rapid development of the financial services sectors in the region, in line with global best practices as set out by international institutions and standard setting bodies.
