Securities

Entities operating in the Securities sector are licensed under the Securities Act (SA). The SA provides a comprehensive framework enabling entities to operate in full transparency and lists all the requirements/criteria and the prudential norms which need to be followed and the relevant disclosures.

The FSC licences Securities Exchanges, Clearing and Settlement Facilities, Securities Trading Systems, Investment Funds Intermediaries and also registers Reporting Issuers and Investment Clubs.

An Investment Fund, which is authorised under Section 97 of the SA, may be structured as a company, a protected cell company, a trust, a limited partnership, foundation or any other legal entity prescribed or approved by the FSC.

Applicants must submit a complete application with all relevant documents so as to enable the FSC to process their application for licensing / registration / authorisation.
