Appointed by the FSC to coordinate the Blueprint project, Mr James Shipton, shared his thoughts and observations with the key industry players in attendance. He added that Mauritius can position itself as a complementary, friendly African country to other African countries to help enhance economic growth in the Continent, and as such, international consultation as part of the Blueprint project will be of utmost importance.
The feedback from the participants at the consultative meeting has been very positive. The general consensus was that the Blueprint project is a laudable initiative which comes at a crucial point in time where our financial services sector is at a crossroad and facing various global challenges. The idea of appointing an international consultancy firm to work on the project was also discussed.
