Investment Flows Survey
Background
This survey aims at collecting information on Direct Investment and Portfolio Investment positions as at 31st December of each year between residents and non-residents as part of the IMF Coordinated Direct Investment Survey (CDIS) and Coordinated Portfolio Investment Survey (CPIS). Data on the interaction between the local economy and the GBC1s is also collected through this survey.
Although the Bank of Mauritius is the focal point for the conduct of the CDIS and CPIS, the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius is responsible for the collection and compilation of data for the whole financial services sector other than banking, including the Global Business sector, under its regulatory purview.
Coverage of Entities
All Corporations holding a Category 1 Global Business Licence under the management of Management Companies (excluding MCs which participate in the GBC 1 Survey).
